"Open Lectures" is a noncommercial educational project about the culture and history of Belarus, about painting and human rights, about psychology and democracy, about outer and inner space. Lectures on the history and culture of Belarus are given a dominant place in the event poster.
Our mission is to convey free "digital" Belarus to a wide audience through interesting webinars, bright infographics and fascinating posts, filling the gap between the "knowledge" of professional historians and the "knowledge" of Belarusians. We love Belarus very much!
"Open Lectures" was founded in 2019 by Veronika Stankevich so that the Belarusian cultural community would have its own platform for meetings, communication, and knowledge exchange.
2019 How the "Open Lectures" started
The "Open Lectures" exists in the form of daily offline lectures. We hold hundreds of events with thousands of participants. The core of the community is being formed.
НАША ПЕРВАЯ ЛЕКЦИЯ
In March 2020, as a consequence of the pandemic, the "Open Lectures" switches to the online format. Since 2020, we are starting to develop the special project "Code of Belarus" - short videos about significant personalities of our history.
It was a difficult year for our team: relaxation and restart of the project. But despite all the difficulties, the "Open Lectures" resumed work.
